How It Works
Two ways to strike, one striking design. Strike your match on the plate underneath or go rogue with strike-anywhere matches on the unglazed base. Approximately 2.13" high x 1.25" diameter, slight variations show the artist's hand. Color-coordinated safety matches and replacement striking plate included.

This white is called Galactic White, part of our Galactic Collection. Space looks black from here, but up close it's everything. Gas clouds, light years, color beyond what we can name. This finish works the same way. It reads as white until the light catches it and suddenly it's not just white anymore. It's iridescent, which means it shifts depending on where you're standing. The Manhattan Match Striker is made from stoneware with a food-safe glaze. Hand wash only. Replace it if any cracks or crazing develop over time.

Our Manhattan Match Striker gives you two ways to get lit, depending on your style. Our holder comes loaded with safety matches, which are the most widely available type and can only be ignited against a phosphorus surface. To light safety matches, strike them against the phosphorus dot on the bottom of our holder. Or, if you prefer to use strike-anywhere matches, light those by striking them against the unglazed surface at the bottom of our holder. Either way, you have a chic, functional lighter alternative.
When the original striking plate wears down on our Manhattan Match Striker, simply peel it off and clean off any glue residue from the surface. Then peel and stick the included replacement plate into place. This quick swap will keep your match striker looking and functioning like new.
Hemp wick is a cleaner, more mindful way to light your blend. Standard matches contain phosphorus and most lighters run on butane. So, you don’t want to inhale those chemicals every time you light up. Hemp wick also burns at a significantly lower temperature than either of them. A lower burn temp allows for more precise lighting and a more even, efficient burn. That way, you’re not wasting your blend by burning it up before you can smoke it.
